The former Mr. Olympia bodybuilder turned California Governor will have nearly 50 pages devoted to his remarkable life.

Arnold Schwarzenegger has appeared on hundreds of magazine covers in the last 40 years, but never has one magazine included five covers of him – in the same issue. The July installment of Muscle & Fitness (on sale June 4) will do just that in a special collector’s issue to celebrate Schwarzenegger’s 60th birthday this July 30.

While his life story has been told before, never has it been delivered in such a descriptive yet fitting way, as the centerpiece of the Arnold extravaganza is a 28-page biographical narrative told as if being shot for an upcoming movie, written by M&F senior editor Joe Wuebben. “Arnold was a poor Austrian farm boy who built himself into becoming the world’ best ever bodybuilder, then box office mega star before being elected Governor of California,” says Wuebben. “It is such a fantastic journey that even Hollywood wouldn’t make it up and that prompted us to tell his story as if was a film.”

In another unique twist to this feature the present-day Governor is shown interacting with iconic life-size images of his bodybuilding and Hollywood past. The birthday celebration will also include never before seen current and vintage photographs of Schwarzenegger, numerous anecdotes from his longtime friends and colleagues.

The biographical narrative covers Arnold’s life from his birth up until 1980; the following issue of Muscle & Fitness (August on newsstands July 2nd) will feature Part 2 of one of the most amazing lives ever lived.
