Page 1 of 2 Once again it's on. This pro season actually kicks off witth some strong competitors coming for the first two shows of the season, the Pro Ironman and Arnold Classic. For this assement I'll be doing a two in one for those that do the Arnold Classic a couple of weeks later. Lets get in to it. Keep in mind that tis is an assesment, I don't place competitors as we see how predictions turn out.
Troy Alves: I saw pics of Troy at last years Olympia and looked at the Titans video put out by Muscle time. I have to say that the pics do not reflect the mans improvements on stage. I think he will bring a fuller look to the Ironman and Arnold than he did at the Olympia and it will pay dividends. His weaknes is still his glutes and hams, but he will be improving upon that I think.
Melvin Anthony: He actually has an advantage going into the show as he is the last NOC winner and a hometown favorite. Melvin's physique is as close to Flex Wheeler's as you can get. I still think he needs to come in harder and that requires a small drop in bodyweight and an increase in conditioning. He knows that he has to come out swinging and if not he will be put down.
Gustavo Badell: The wunderkind of last years show. A very dry and hard bodybuilder he can get it done. I still think he needs to widen out his back a little more and not come into the night show with a distended stomach as he did at the Olympia. I think he will acguit himself well at the Arnold also. I would like to see him have a christmas tree also.
Mark Dugdale: Our very own Mayhem member will be doing this as his pro debut. I like his physique however, he has to take it next level in order to make a dent in this lineup and at the Arnold. He really only needed to add a couple of pounds of muscle. I think he will acquit himself well en route to an Olympia qualification
Derik Farnsworth: One the best little men in the show. Very asthetic with a some powerful muscle. His best attribute is his lower body. Not just one muscle, but quads hams and calves. He should have a few more pounds of muscle on him with a wider back. He already has a great Glute ham tie-in, just needs a wider back with deept conditioning.
David Henry: Another Wunderkind of last years show. He got some great press last year and should have been on last years Olympia stage. However I feel on of his weaknesses is besides overall mass is his hamstrings. When viewed from the rear they are shredded, but from the side they don't have that sweep he could have. However I'm pretty sure that the big D-O DOUBLE G has corrected that.
Dennis James: More conditioning. Period. Has everything in place, just needs to come in ROCK HARD to make a lasting impression. His muscle is just spilling over because he has so much of it. He also needs to watch that waistline for distention because he has a habit of letting relax a little bit
Rusty Jeffers: Will display a very hard physique with a lot of muscle, but will be outgunned by the younger guns in the show.
