Arnold Harley AccidentReuters Jan. 9 - California governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger hurt in motorcyle accident near his home.

California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and his 12-year-old son are recovering after being involved in a motorcycle accident Sunday (January 8). The 58-year-old actor-turned-governor was driving his Harley Davidson near his Southern California home when he hit a car that had backed into the road.

The governor and his son Patrick, who was riding in the motorcycle's sidecar were taken to the hospital for minor cuts and bruises. Governor Schwarzenegger received 15 stitches to repair a cut lip. The driver of the car was uninjured.

* On a side note: It's since been discovered Arnold did not have a valid motorcycle's liscence.
