 Many of pro bodybuilding's greatest physiques will be on the Pasadena Civic Auditorium stage on Saturday, February 18, 2006, for the 17th annual IRON MAN Pro Championships, the premier event on the West Coast.
Competitors in the contest, promoted by IRON MAN Magazine Publisher John Balik, will be vying for a record $30,000 in prize money, with $15,000 going to the winner.
Contestants from all over the world will be flexing at the IM Pro, including Francis Benfatto, a 47-year-old former superstar making a comeback after a 15-year hiatus. Judging will be at 10 a.m., with the Finals set for 7 p.m. A press conference, featuring a weigh-in of all competitors, will be held on Friday, February 17 at 4 p.m. in the Expo Hall.
The NPC Figure competition, featuring 35 of the industry's hottest female bodies, returns for its third year in conjunction with the IM Pro.
Also returning for its third year is The FitExpo, running from February 17-19 at the Pasadena Center. The FitExpo gives bodybuilding and fitness fans the unique opportunity to participate in over 30 seminars by highly respected experts in subjects from nutrition, personal training and fitness marketing.
New this year is The FitExpo After Party presented by the Private Trainers Association. The After Party will be held at a Night Club near the Civic Center within walking distance (exact location will be announced shortly). Event is included with all IRON MAN Pro Gold VIP Ticket Holders but there will also be general admission tickets for anyone who wants to party and dance with the pros. Major sponsors will be handing out special gifts, raffle tickets will be drawn. The party will start at 10 p.m. and run till 2 a.m.

In continued appreciation to members of the US Armed Services, Iron Man Pro FitExpo Promoter, John Balik, has authorized 500 free tickets for military personnel to attend the competition. John and the Iron Man staff appreciate all the sacrifices made by the men and women serving in the Armed Forces and would like the honor of their presence at the 16th annual Iron Man event.
The Iron Man Pro Bodybuilding Competition will be held 18 Feb 06 at the Pasadena Center Civic Auditorium, 300 E. Green Street, Pasadena, California. Judging begins at 10 a.m. and Finals are at 7 p.m.
Please pick up the Judging tickets in front of the Civic Auditorium will-call table on Sat. Feb 18 by 9:15 a.m. and Finals tickets by 6:00 p.m.
To receive your tickets, you must have a valid military ID card -- no exceptions. To accommodate as many visitors as possible, this offer is limited to two sets of Judging and Finals tickets per ID.
This same offer applies to the first 150 police/fire/emt who also show up with valid ID.
