Okay, it's May and that means that it's NOC time. What!!!! The NOC is no more.....it's now the NY PRO that's promoted by Steve Weinberger. With a new venue , new name and new promoter, we have new pros and old salts getting ready alike. Now let's not get it twisted folks, there are a lot of competitors in this show every year. I will only go through potential contenders and darkhorses. No disrespect to other competitors as it takes a lot to get up onstage. Let's get into it.

The Contenders:

Chris Cook: There has been a lot of talk surrounding Chris as a potential winner. And for good reason. Calves are ridiculous, just like the rest of his lower body and sports great asthetics for a man of his size. Very complete from head to toe. I still don't think he'll win though. Why you ask? Conditioning. What he showed last November was good enough to win the Nationals, but this is the big leagues, and he will get smashed he show's up with that type of conditioning again.

Branch Warren: In my eyes, the winner. Granite hard from head to toe, nasty shredded and proportinate for his body. Drawback is a thick waist, but hell, with all that super conditioned mass that can be overlooked easily. He's going to the Olympia.

Caprise Murray: Saw his nine week out pictures from the Metropolitan in New York. Unless he did some spartan dieting, he'll miss his mark by a good 10 pounds. On the plus side his quad sweep is ridiculous. When I first saw his pics form the USA last year, I thought he drank some synthol(yes I am a idiot) but thats not the case. His proportions are so cartoonish is hard to belive. But he won't be as conditioned as he was at the Nationals last year.

Ahamd Haidar: Never fails to deliver. My man from the Middle East will make up for lost ground from the Olympia. I think this is the longest he's rested in a couple of years, so he'll be ready to get it on. His only drawbacks are his calves and back width and thickness, other than that, damn near perfect.

George Farah: I don't see why nobody really like his physique. I think he's a phenomenal athlete who doe's not get his due because he is a smaller guy. I do think he is a little thick in the waist and tends to blow his abs out in the side chest pose which makes him appear bloated. Lee Haney did it, and I still don't like it. But he'll show up in shape here.

Nasser El Sonbaty: I really think his time has passed. He is not what he used to be. I think he will show up like he did last year.

Tony Freeman: Continues to improve with each showing but needs to be thicker all over to make an impact. His back double bicep is his weakest pose, while his side chest is his strongest. Good conditioning, just needs to fill out.

Darrem Charles: This guy is hungry, and just because he is on e of the samller athletes on the circuit should'nt mean he should be taken lightly. Razor sharp tri's and mountain high bi's with samurai sliced quads elevate this man high up in placing's. Unfortunately, his back holds him back in the placings. I do belive however he will be battling for the top slot with Branch Warren, based on his palcing last year in NY.

Mustafa Mohammed: Okay, lets be real. He needs to refine his prep to where he can coast into the show. Now before everyone say's " He knows his body" people should know how you should look 3-4 weeks out, and the pics I saw means he is not a happy camper right now. However, he is really thick all over and has tremendous potential to win a pro show in the very near future. His side chest is among one of the best on the scene and his quads are sick.

And the darkhorse of the show..........Craig Richardson, I just think this man has a killer physique. Just kind of two dimensional when compared with some of the larger athletes. But suberb conditioning with a respectable amount of size.

On a side note, one athlete I would like to see do well is Eric Otero. I have been a fan sice the 1999 USA, and liked what he brought to the table at the Nationals in 2001.

Well thats it. Probrably won't know the results of the show until later that night because I'll be Chicago at the Il state, but good luck to all the pro's competing.
